Description

Explore Lower Antelope Canyon to have the opportunity to hike through a slot canyon that is more than 100 feet deep. Definitely a bucketlist item to check off your list.

The Lower Antelope Canyon is only explored with a guided tour. However, while this might feel like bad news, this helps control the traffic of people throughout the canyon. Also, the guides leading you through the canyon are very laid back and relaxed. When you drive to the pin you have two options of guide services that you can use. Prices are the same for both and range from the regular $20 tour to the $42 photographers tour. Tickets do not include the $8 Navajo Nation Permit fee.

Lower Antelope Canyon seems to be the least popular of the two slot canyons. Lower Antelope Canyon is underground and twice as long as Upper Antelope Canyon. The entrance to Lower Antelope Canyon requires you to take a steep staircase to the floor of the canyon and gets you more than 100 feet below the surface. The canyon is 1,335 feet long. The first room is the best spot for photographing a light beam (Tip: Throwing up sand in the air allows the light beam to show up better).

One of the coolest places on Earth. Sometimes the crowds can get large, but the trick is to take it slow and hold to the very back of your group if you don't want to listen to your guide. It gives you a bit more time to explore without feeling rushed. Wouldn't recommend this place if you're claustrophobic though!

This is one of the coolest places I've ever been! Amazing colors when the sun is shining down into the canyon. This is definitely a must see if your visiting in Page or nearby.
