Cottonwood Pass boasts some great views of the Collegiate Peaks and is a lesser known winter hike.
You can take Cotton Wood Pass about half way up in the winter. You'll know when you've reached the end by the snow pack and gate blocking the road. The road in the winter is heavily trafficked by snow mobiles, so be on the lookout for that. There's plenty of parking around the gate and from there its really up to you how far you go. The views in the winter of the pass (and surrounding area) and incredible and definitely worth the trek if you can make it to the top. Even if you can't the views are awesome from pretty much anywhere on (or off) the road.
