Description

An alternative route to the popular Mission Peak via Stanford Trail.
The Ohlone Trail to Mission Peak is a longer but less intense hike up to the top of Mission Peak. It is about 2 miles longer than the Stanford Trail and traverses the incline much more gradually. This lesser known option is perfect for those wanting to avoid the crowds (and parking nightmares) of the Stanford Trail.
Mission Peak is an iconic East Bay hike. It has amazing views of the Bay, and you can see all the way to Mountain View and Palo Alto. It is a great spot to watch the sunset.
The Ohlone Trails has more parking available than the Stanford Trail.
