A 6.2-mile (9.9 km) moderate there-and-back hike that begins with a steep descent (600 feet [182 m] over 1 mile [1.6 km]) to the Yellowstone River Suspension Bridge. The trail crosses the Yellowstone River and proceeds up through sagebrush meadows of the Buffalo Plateau and drops down to Hellroaring Creek.
