5 Photos of Big Sur's Ever-Changing Seasons

There is no such thing as the perfect location in Big Sur.

By: Jovelyn Gruspe + Save to a List

Every person will experience Big Sur differently in every single trip. It's never the same driving along the coast due to the dramatic effects permitted by the coast's ever-changing weather.

The Pacific's fog bank veils the historical Bixby Bridge and gives a hint of the far off location where land meets the ocean.

From sunset to moonset, summer cannot be more enjoyable than taking photos during golden hour at McWay Falls.

It's great to wear warm and comfortable clothing and chill as the Milky Way makes its appearance at Pfieffer Beach.

Just like any other rare sights or events, it's always best to be in the moment even if there are people who are next-to-skin close getting a worthy shot themselves.

Other than that, you can never miss out on anything driving on along the coast!

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
