When you think of Texas, most don’t think of a hidden oasis or lush green forests, but if you know where to look there are some incredible hidden gems! Like Krause Springs! Here you can enjoy swimming, camping and hiking at this gorgeous natural spring!

Spend the day swimming and exploring or stay the night and see everything this privately owned park has to offer! From the spring fed concrete pool, to natural spring fed swimming hole, waterfall, butterfly gardens and more! Bring your tent or even your RV! They take reservations for RV hookups only, tent camping is available on “first come-first site” basis.

They have BBQ pits (in the day use area) and burn barrels for camper use. You may bring your own BBQ pit as long as it does not sit on the ground. You can bring your own firewood or purchase a bundle. All fires should be contained inside the burn barrel rings, which are available to rent for $10 ($5 refunded upon return). You can see the fire warnings here.
