The perfect backpacking trip for the first timers!

If it is your first time backpacking - this is exactly what you're looking for. I'm not joking! Not only was this my first time camping (the night before), but this was also my first backpacking trip. And the tramp is also a great choice for families!

Aspiring Hut is in the West Matukituki valley of Mount Aspiring National Park and it will be your perfect weekend get away. Easy tramp, mountains constantly surrounding you, and a beautiful hut to welcome you home.

Most of the tramp is flat and wide and anywhere is a perfect spot for a lunch break! On arrival, the hut sits right by the Matukituki River and there's a large amount of open land. So yeah, so much exploring to do!

Inside, the bunks are in a separate room and there are also mattresses around the big windows of the dining room. Those are definitely the spots to snag if you don't mind a little bit of chill at night because it'll be a beautiful view to wake up to!

The hut is first come first serve, has 33 bunks, and cookers, firewood, and a hut warden is available on season!

Not being bias or anything, but whatever your tramping experience is... you will love this journey!
