Baja for the Holidays

8 friends, 4 vans, and 1 massive ball of fur head south to Baja California for the holidays on an epic 1200 mile road trip.

By: Josiah Roe + Save to a List

This holiday The Outbound sent a team of explorers, photographers, and videographers on a two week road trip the entire length of Baja California, from the United States border at Mexicali to Cabo Pulmo and back. It was a trip for the ages. #EveryoneOutside.

There were four vans: Barb the Barbarian, Jozette, Ruby, and Drifting House, and all were outfitted with Baja Bound insurance and essential Baja road trip gear like Jackery for portable solar power, Cel-Fi for next-gen cellular connectivity, Soundboks because amazing music, Revive Kombucha to keep us hydrated and awake behind the wheel, Mountain House to fuel the hikes and swims, two Oru Kayak's for maritime exploration, Bare Republic sunscreen to protect our skin *and* the fragile marine environment, and finally Olukai as the perfect beach-to-hiking footwear.
