Buck Gulch Falls (also known as Fairway Falls) is an easy, scenic hike that takes you through a beautiful forest on your way to a 15-foot waterfall. This little neighborhood treasure is tucked away in Novato, CA at the end of Fairway Drive and there is ample parking near the trailhead.
If you visit after some rain, you'll need to cross the creek in two different areas (or try your luck crossing some makeshift log bridges) so bring high rain boots or Chacos. Also, when the waterfall is really flowing, kids often like to walk behind the falls and play around in the water.
This hike is both family and dog friendly (on leash), and quite popular.

Reviews
There are two places where you need to cross the creek. When we went, there were some makeshift logs pulled together to cross. Lots of folks still got wet. If you don’t want to deal with getting your feet wet, your best bet is probably wearing some tall rain boots or Chaco-style sandals.
