Bretz Mill Campground is located on scenic Big Creek in Sierra National Forest, with access to Shaver Lake.

Bretz Mill Campground is truly one of a kind - no fee, open year round, first come, first serve. This is a wonderful campground is an oasis for those seeking to picnic, cool off during hot summer days, or explore snowy trails. This is also a great place to spend the night when many campgrounds at higher elevations are hidden under feet of snow in the winter.

The maximum group size is 6 people per site. Each site is equipped with grills and fire rings. There are bathrooms at the campground.

The water is pretty and clear and NO FEES. Shaver Lake is the best place to go on a budget if you want to avoid fees and just CAMP.
