Camp at Buckeye Flat in Sequoia National Park
Sequoia National Park, California
Description
Added by Nick Garcia
This cozy campground nestled at the base of Sequoia National Park is a great location to set up base camp for your next trip.
Entering Sequoia National Park at the Ash Mountain Entrance near the small city of Three Rivers, follow Highway 198 (Generals Highway) through the park until you see a sign for Buckeye Flat Campground off to the right. The campground sign is immediately after you see signs for Hospital Rock. Follow the small dirt road overlooking the beautiful Kewah River around a half a mile until you reach the campground. These small sites are along the river so anywhere you set up camp you can hear the peaceful sounds of the flowing water. The major features of the park are another 30 minute drive up Generals Highway, which makes this campground ideal for a quite and peaceful place to camp.
TIP: This is a seasonal campground, so it books up very quickly so make sure to plan a couple months in advance, if not more. For more information and to reserve your spot click here.
