Camp at Deep Creek Campground

Gypsum, Colorado

Description

Added by Korey Taylor

Free BLM camping along I-70 for a convenient and scenic nights sleep.

I was driving from Denver to Telluride and wanted a camping spot along the way so I decided to make a random turn off of 70 and sure enough found some beautiful BLM land to camp on. The Deep Creek Campground is along a dirt road about 2 miles off of a paved road. There are 6 camping sites along the road that follows the creek. If you're thinking of staying here long term there are time limits: from April 1 to August 31 it is 7 days, and from September 1 to March 31, it is 14 days.

The sites come with a fire ring, plenty of flat ground, and a running river. Great spot to spend the evening!

Please pack in and pack out! Since it's BLM Land it's important to keep it clean for the next user.
