Amazing, low key camping spot with no crowds. It is easy to access and has amazing sunset and sunrise views. There is awesome kayaking and fishing nearby on the Snake River

Just an hour outside of Jackson Hole, this waterfall is very easy to access. This is also a great spot to camp overnight if you are heading to the Grand Tetons National Park from the West Coast.

Look for a sign at the turn out that says “Fall Creek Falls.” If you find yourself on the bridge over Snake River, you have missed the turn. Heading towards Jackson, look for the last righthand turn just before the bridge.

Because this is located in a National Forest, camping is perfectly legal and also free. Just be sure to camp about 200 ft. from the water.

If you are willing to get wet, you can wade out to one of the small islands and explore the base of the falls. To get to the bottom, you will have to climb down, starting at the small cave on the very left of the falls, and follow the stream down into to river.

Note that in the winter, this road can be closed, and it is not recommend to make the one-mile hike to the falls – the route is icy, slippery, and quite dangerous.

Having grown up around the area. It was always nice to make the short hike up to the falls or visit it coming home from camp little lemhi up the road. Now I’ve only been twice in the last 2 years. Reluctantly taking a friend or my wife to fish as I usually know it’s never going to be the same. Last time I went there was a tour bus!!!!! Attempting to not cover the entire freaking road. Little ants piled out and 2 hours later little ants piled back in. The beauty of the area has always been in its seclusion, so if your lucky enough to ever see this place secluded you will see it for what should be but never will be again. If not you will just see another fishing hole with a cliff and a few idiots trying to climb onto the falls in a pair of Gucci slides with a new Yellowstone tshirt, long pants, and matching Maui Jim gift shop cowboy hats and sunglasses trying really hard not to look like complete idiot. As they slip and slide down the rock and we all wait with our cell phones to see if 911 needs to be called again. It’s beautiful when people don’t ruin it.Also if you go, pick up your trash. I picked up nearly 2 bags full last time. Thanks.

Were there any nearby SUP or Kayak rentals? Looks like the perfect place for a paddle adventure.

Totally came upon this spot by accident, but we loved it. If you go down the road a bit, after the cattle guard, there is a little trail that leads off to the right. You can hike to the top of the ridge and get an amazing view of the valley and Snake river!

These falls are pretty nifty on their own, but not much of an adventure. If you have the ability I highly recommend floating the snake so you can see the falls from the river. Just put in at the dam and pull out at Spring Creek Boat Ramp. It's a pretty calm float and the falls provide a great finale.

Fall Creek Falls is one of my favorite places to visit and just enjoy nature. I come here often, especially at sunrise when the sun comes up over the mountains and lights up the Snake River and waterfall. Moose also frequent this area, making it an even more awesome destination. It's also a very short walk to get above the waterfall.

Chill place to either fish, relax, take pics, or all of the above. I went in mid October and wasnt able to get to the bottom of the falls since there was about a foot of muddy muck, but it was beautiful and relaxing nonetheless. Highly recommend bringing fishing supplies and gear to stay the night.

So easy to find. This spot is awesome for relaxing AND playing. We set up our tent at a spot closer to the road. Make sure to wake up early for the incredible sunrise. My only complaint is that many, many owners have not cleaned up their dogs' poop.

Morning views are insane. Most beautiful spot I've camped in a long while

Fall Creek Falls is unbelievable!! One of the coolest waterfalls I've ever been to. Definitely worth a trip to see it. If you go, walk down the road a little bit until you can hike down the hill enough to get to the bottom of the falls for the best view!
