Camp at Lake Havasu State Park
Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Description
Added by Nick Garcia
Enjoy a weekend with scenic views along the shore of beautiful Lake Havasu.
Lake Havasu is a premier lake dividing California and Arizona along with the Colorado River. Lake Havasu State Park has an abundance of amenities including 47 camp sites, 3 boat ramps, multiple picnic areas and a beach area. The state park sits just north of the famous London Bridge that was purchased by Robert McColluch and moved into the newly established community of Lake Havasu City. There is also an interpretive garden that is a great place to walk around to get to know the plants and animals around the area.
The campground has shower/restroom, water, dump station, and use of park day-use facilities. Each site includes a picnic table and a fire ring and most sites offer shaded areas (which is very important if camping during the summer months).

The campground is popular for boaters and those who want to spend the day swimming in the lake. The campground is wide open with nothing really there for shade, which can be brutal in the Arizona summers.

Haven't camped here, but spent some time here. It's a nice state park. Beautiful lake. Did a fun hike here. You hear horror stories about what people do in the lake during spring break (poop, etc..). But, it's still beautiful!
