Sprague Lake is an awesome spot for those who want to see what Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer without hiking too far.
Located in Rocky Mountain National Park at an elevation of almost 8,700 feet, Sprague Lake offers visitors great views with very little effort required. It's a short 15 minute drive from Estes Park and hikers can take the short trail around the circumference of the lake. You'll find bathrooms and picnic sites as well as a camping area nearby.
If you're up for it, it's worthwhile to get up for sunrise for the best view of the peaks on the continental divide. The area is also frequented by wildlife in the summer.

Reviews
I spent 2 sunsets and 1 sunrise chasing moose here. Just follow the path and look for the professional photographers who will congregate in the morning and evening to see and take pictures of the several resident Moose of the lake.
