Bluff Cove, in Palos Verdes, is a great location for viewing and photographing the sunset or sunrise. It's a short hike of 0.5 miles (perfect for everyone) out to the bluff and back.

Parking for Bluff Cove is located along the sides of the street of Paseo Del Mar, and the trailhead is located right next to the street. Bluff Cove is one of those unique locations in that there are a variety of activities you can do here.

It is a great location for surfing, paddle boarding, body boarding, or just taking in the sunset. Once at the bottom of the trail, you can walk out onto Rocky Shore towards the ocean to begin your surf session or head back in the direction of the trailhead along the shoreline to explore Flat Rock Point.

The first two photos should give you a good idea of what to expect from the top of the trail and the view of the cove. The other photos were all taken from Flat Rock Point, which is quite a scenic location at sunset.

Palos Verde is a beautiful suburb in between LA and Long Beach. It's a great place to find a place on the cliff and watch the sun set!

Took my drone here and hiked down to the water. Very short and easy hike. Cool spot to bring a girl ha. Got some really cool drone shots and the view is amazing

While I haven't been to Bluff Cove in some time, it is always an amazing short hike down to the rocky beach. Watch the sunrise and sunset, or surfers in the cove. Take a not too difficult stroll along the water, while being conscious of your footing, and you'll find even more vistas, views of Catalina, and shipwrecks along the coast.
