The beautiful occurrence of the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico. Great opportunities for relaxing, stand up paddling, or fishing.

If you're like me then you probably spend a fair amount of time chasing the setting sun around. I visited Naples Florida this past spring and was treated to these stunning sunsets 8 out of the 10 days there. The Gulf gives us east coasters the delight of watching the sun dip out over a large body of water which is quite a treat.

There are a lot of great beach spots in Naples to take in the golden hour but I suggest you plan on getting there early, parking is at a premium in Naples along the beach. You could always ride a bike and eliminate the battle for street parking or visit one of the state parks along the coast as well.

I checked out a couple sections of the beach but for photo making, the Pier in Naples was the best spot.

Make a day of it if you can, pack some food, rent a paddle board, do some fishing and then enjoy the show only momma nature can provide.

One thing about Florida, they have some spectacular sunsets. This is one of the locations we found while visiting friends a few years ago. We brought snacks and just relaxed while the sun went down.
