Escape from the city to enjoy this hidden gem. Hike to the top of the hill and up the tower to see views of Pike Lake below.
At 1350 feet, Powder Hill is the second highest point in southeastern Wisconsin. You can start the hike to Powder Hill from the Nature Trail parking lot (0.5 miles) or from the beach/picnic area parking lot (1.1 miles). There is an observation tower near the top of the peak that provides a panoramic view.
Arrive about 1.5 hours before sunset to start this hike. It's a quick mile up and once there, you can see the sunset from the tower. The hike is easy but making it to the top of the observation tower is not for anyone who is afraid of heights, especially on a windy day.

Reviews
If you have time, go up to the tower at Pike Lake! With westward facing views over the lake, it reflects so brightly as the sun sets! Save some extra time and bring a flashlight to walk back in the dark!
