Seal Beach
Seal Beach, California
Description
Added by Nick Garcia
Seal Beach is a quiet little hidden gem right in the middle of the more touristy beaches in Southern California. White sandy beaches, great shops and restaurants, and away from the crowds, this is a great place to spend a hot summer day.
Seal Beach is a small beach community between Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Right off PCH (Pacific Coast Highway), this sandy beach is a great place to chill on a hot summer day. The high winds coming off the water makes it an ideal place to kite board, surf, or simply fly a kite along the shoreline. On a clear day, you can see Catalina Island along the horizon. One of the best aspects of Seal Beach is that it still under the radar to tourists.
There are multiple parking lots/garages along 8th and 10th streets for a minimal fee. You can also find free street parking along Ocean Way, just make sure you read the parking signs as there are various times of day that parking is permitted.
Don't miss arguably the best breakfast burrito you've ever had from Nick's Deli on Main Street.

Sandy bottom beach break, which is a great place to surf, especially for beginners. Just take note to shuffle your feet as you walk along the bottom. There are stingrays and shuffling your feet warns them that you’re coming and they will get out of your way.

This is a nice beach with fewer crowds. It's a great place to relax and catch some rays or to watch the sunset.

My dad and I visited, sat and watched the surfers for a bit, then went and found something to eat. There's tons of shops and restaurants super close. Agree with the other review stating that it's not the cleanest of beaches, there was a good amount of trash there. But overall, good beach!

Seal Beach is a cool little town on the edge of LA and Orange county. It's not the cleanest beach but has fun beginner waves on the North side of the pier.

Seal is the hidden beach of Orange County, but it has everything you'd want and need. Food, shops, rentals, waves, and sand. The north part of the beach (around the jetty) is called warm waters since there is a continuous stream of warm water being pushed into the ocean. Bring the whole family and have an awesome day.
