Caving in Duna-Ipoly National Park

Visegrád, Hungary

Description

A once-in-a-lifetime adventure crawling through caves

Crawl through Budapest’s cave system in the Duna-Ipoly National Park (also referred to as Danube-Ipoly National Park). There are several companies that take groups on this expedition and depart from various locations throughout the city, or have the group meet at the caves. The tour started early in the morning and lasted for about 4 hours. It involved lots of crawling through small to very-small spaces and climbing over rocks. It can get scary at times if you don't think that you can fit through a space, but the guide is present to help with any difficulty. This tour also provided all of the necessary equipment including a jumpsuit and headlamp. Good hiking shoes are encouraged and workout clothes to keep on underneath the jumpsuit.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will get your adrenaline pumping!
