Scramble up a unique volcanic ridgeline that overlooks Malibu Creek State Park. Climb straight up the rock for amazing 360° views.
Ladyface is a volcanic ridge that juts up over Agoura Hills. It is a short but steep hike up the ridgeline, and it offers amazing views to either side. Sections of the trail are steep and sandy so it can be challenging to maintain your footing. Trekking poles are optional and can help with the descent. Parts will also require you to scramble up the volcanic rock walls using your hands and feet. This is the most unique and the most rewarding part of the hike. Once you reach the top you can explore the trail further or head back down the way you came.
To get to the trail head take the 101 Freeway and exit for Kanan Road. Take Kanan Road south towards the ocean. After you pass Cornell Road the Ladyface Trail Head will be down the road on your right. If you pass Silver Creek Road you have gone too far. The trail is very visible and you should see it snake along the ridge. There is no solid marker so look for where the trail meets the road. Park on the shoulder and follow the trail up along the ridge.

Awesome views. Steeper than I expected. A little bit of scrambling on some rocks. Great place to crack a beer!
