Disc Golf at Snyder Park
Springfield, Ohio
Description
Added by John Clairmont
Challenge yourself on the best 18 hole course in Springfield!
This course, sponsored by Hazy Shade, is not for beginners! It is for disc golfers who have some experience and are willing to challenge themselves and live on the edge. Almost every hole has a water hazard, with several of them being in spots that may cause you to need to stop and switch your game up a quite bit. You'll go back and forth over Buck Creek and ponds as you progress along this lengthy 18 hole course. There is also not a great halfway point as Hole 9 is a half mile from the start, so it is best to complete all 18 holes in a row. Any discs lost to Buck Creek can be easily retrieved since it is fairly shallow around the park, but the small ponds are deeper and murky so use caution around them. Holes are marked well, but it is smart to bring a map as the course is fairly expansive: course map.
For those who would rather do something else, this park has tennis courts, a playground with a splash pad, pavilions, park grills, and fishing areas. There is also a newly build garden and arboretum not far from the start of the disc golf course.

Reviews
This is the only disc golf park in the city and it's in beautiful Synder Park! The layout of this course is a bit odd - it has a lot of crossing back and forth over the creek and is not laid out well for doing just the 9-hole. Its a challenging and interesting course if you're looking for the next level of disc golf!
