Short hike to small waterfall with great swimming spot.
This waterfall is located just outside of Cashiers, NC. The trailhead to the waterfall is right off of the road and has a good amount of parking. The trial itself is very nice and has new steps at the beginning of the trail. The trail is very wide and is mostly flat the entire way there. Once you get to the waterfall you will see the wide soft sandy bank next to a large pool of water making it a great place to swim and picnic. This place is also great for kids cause they can slide down the waterfall. The pool of water is around 6 feet at the bottom so anyone can swim there. The swimming will be best during the summer because the water is very cold.
