Devil's Golf Course offers views of vast and surreal landscape of eroded rock salt in the Mojave Desert.
It is said that "only the devil could play golf on such rough links." Just off Badwater Road you will find an immense field of eroded rock salt that bore small jagged spires in the Earth. What was once Lake Manly is now a surreal sight - one that makes you wonder what planet you are on. Devil's Golf Course is a great stop, especially if you are en route to the famous Badwater Basin down the road.
GETTING THERE:
Heading south on Badwater Road, turn right onto a gravel drive (across from Artist's Way). There will be a sign indicating Devil's Golf Course. You will follow this road 1.3 miles to a point in which you are in the middle of it. Note that this drive may be closed during wet weather.
FEE:
There is a $20 for 7 Days vehicle entrance fee. However, if you plan on visiting multiple national parks you can buy an annual Park Pass for $80. Here's more info. Link: http://www.nps.gov/deva/planyo...
SURROUNDING INTERESTS:
Check out Badwater Basin for some incredible salt flats. Across the road there is Artist's way, a beautiful palette of colors all over the Earth. Death Valley has a lot of diverse and stunning sights to offer.

Reviews
A short drive off the main road to a parking area. Neat to see how rugged the landscape is here compared to the smooth salt flats of Badwater only a few miles up the valley. It’s a short stop, there’s no real trails and it’s unlikely you’ll want to venture very far from the parking area due to how difficult it is to walk on.

Stopped by here after photographing Zabriskie Point at sunrise. The light was great and I got some great shots of a truly unique formation.

Interesting formations that are best photographed in pre-dawn or post-sunset light.
