Explore Henry's Fork Dam in Island Park

Island Park, Idaho

Description

Added by Annelise G

A secluded spot along the Buffalo River with lots of trees, boulders, and caves to explore.

Don't be confused by Island Park Dam or the map location "Henry's Fork." This little spot is right on the actual fork in the river, but since most people don't know about it, you'll probably have it all to yourself!

Once you park, walk down to the dam bridge. From there you can take in the scenery, rock-jump down to the river, or head west to the mountain of boulders. If you're exploring the boulders, watch your step! The boulder pile is hollow and you might fall deep inside. (Although, since it's hollow, that means there are lots of little caves to explore!)

Reviews

I’m lucky I found this spot! Seriously hidden, but very worth it! Be careful not to fall into holes in the rocks, but other than that, super chill:)
