Description

Added by Ian Tyley

Lighthouse Park is one of Greater Vancouver's most beautiful parks located along the shores of West Vancouver. The park boasts some of the largest Douglas Fir trees in Greater Vancouver. Breathtaking views of the water.

To get to Lighthouse Park, head westbound along Marine Drive in West Vancouver. As Marine Drive continues past little shops and businesses, it will begin to narrow and the road will wind around the coastline. Continue past Caufield Cove Marina and watch for the Lighthouse Park sign on your left. Turn left on Beacon Lane and continue straight until you reach the parking lot. The trail begins at the top of the lot.

We wanted to see this spot, and found it super easy to get to. Views are wonderful - bring your camera!

If it wasn’t for the crowds this would be an easy four star! Awesome trails and spectacular views. My favourite time to go is in the winter due to less people.

Great for a lovely wander if you don't have the time to escape the city. The trails are lovely, and the beaches spectacular. It's an excellent picnic location too. But it tends to be pretty packed. Don't expect a quiet serene rainforest, it's more of a friendly urban abnormality.

It can be a slight challenge to find the park, however, trust Google Maps and you'll be fine! There are lots of awesome trails that lead to the lighthouse that are short and easy for anyone. Take it easy and enjoy the park, the lighthouse itself is super cool and there are many terrific viewpoints in the park, both of the city and on the other side, Squamish Inlet.

A fantastic little hike in West Vancouver. There are some stunning views from here of Stanley Park. If you can make it for sunset, the views are amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

It's hard to believe that this beautiful park is right in a big city. The views are amazing and so is the hiking within it. Plus being able to soak up some sun on a warm day on the rocks while looking at the lighthouse and the ships come into the port and the birdwatching makes it even better.

Watching sunset from here is gorgeous, amazing for a medium length walk with the dog.
