Lower Grand Canyon Falls is the tallest waterfall in the park at 308 feet. Red Rock Point gives amazing views of the falls and up and down the canyon.

Lower Grand Canyon Falls is one of the gems of Yellowstone and is the one of the most photographed spots in the park. Red Rock Point on the north side of the Yellowstone River gives amazing views up and down the canyon and is only a short .3 miles from the North Rim Road.

What's crazy is how long it took me to finally visit the falls, and I've lived within two hours of Yellowstone for most of my life. I had been to Old Faithful countless times but had yet to explore this cool place. What I love about this waterfall is that there are many trails around it that provide you with interesting and unique viewing angles of the waterfall. You can hike down the trail to the top of the falls, which provides a breathtaking view of the canyon overlooking this enormous waterfall. This makes for a moment you won't soon forget.

This is a must see in Yellowstone, so make sure to add it to your to-do list when you come.

From this point you can see the beautiful views of the lower falls and you can see the great views of the valley below. This is my favorite spot for the waterfall.

This is a great viewpoint overlooking the waterfall. This area can be crowded but for good reason.

Like so many things in this NP: crowded but so beautiful! Soak it in! This is a gorgeous view and such an easy walk to get to this view!

Old Faithful used to be what came to mind when I thought of Yellowstone, but not anymore! This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip; I had no idea the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone was a thing. It's views are unlike anything else you'll see in the park, and the rich colors of the canyon made it look like a watercolor painting. A fairly easy hike and a little crowded, but much less touristy and crowded than Old Faithful.

Easy hike with beautiful view of the falls!

In my opinion, this is what gave the geysers a run for their money! We are so glad we made this stop - absolutely gorgeous.

if you are in the park you need to see this. It is extremely busy during the day so maybe try to get there early in the morning to avoid the tourists.

Hiking the switchbacks down was pretty easy, coming back up was more difficult as one could imagine. There were a ton of tourists though, try to later in the day or early in the morning.

Great hike with awesome views from multiple vantage points.

A beautiful area that seems so incredibly different to the other areas of Yellowstone - worth taking some time to explore!
