Free to park. Lets you be in the forest while in the city. Stunning views of Mt. Hood and downtown Portland. Best during sunrise or sunset. Popular park.

Sitting 400 feet above the city with views of Mt. Hood and Portland doesn't sound to bad right?? Mount Tabor is located in Southeast Portland and is a once active volcano. There are 196 acres of park for you to explore.

In order to photograph the best pictures of Mt. Hood I highly suggest getting there 30 mins before sunrise for the best results. For the best pics of Portland I suggest you do the same just at sunset for stunning images.

You can pretty much drive all the way to where you need to take pics. I always park right below the stairs and walk up because its a little easier to park down there.

The park is super popular and can be crowded especially at sunset. Make sure you get there early and find the best spot for pictures!

Beautiful and fun! Bring a frisbee or something and just have a nice afternoon out, I love it here.

I used to run around the reservoirs all of the time. Nice view of the city at the top as well.

Awesome place to visit after work. I live nearby, and regularly visit. You can do quick short trips or spend a few hours. & the views are amazing.
