A path to a beautiful waterfall that spills down into the Potomac along with a great view of Harper's Ferry.

This is a small park along route 340 in Purcellville, Virginia near Harper's Ferry. After you have parked, look for the park sign which will be a few feet behind you. There is a trail that will take you down to the bottom of the waterfall and eventually to the Potomac River. There is also a trail that goes down along the side of the waterfall but please be warned that it can be very slippery. It is recommended that you visit this park on a weekday as there are only 3 spots available for parking. During the summer various rafting and tubing companies use this park so there is no parking along the entry way and no parking allowed along the road.

After you make your way down the path you'll see the beautiful Piney Run Falls. Taking the path a little farther you'll reach the Potomac River.  If you look out to your left you'll see the historic town of Harper's Ferry. When you're done relaxing you can take the path back up to your car.
