A beautiful coastal stop on Hwy 1.

Ragged Point is a quick stop off Hwy1 in Big Sur. It offers amazing vistas of where the mountains meet the ocean. There are scenic spots overlooking both the North and the South. The southern vista overlooks San Carpoforo Creek. Big Sur is truly one of the most beautiful places in California, and you'll never run out of places to see!

Reviews

The beautiful views makes this hike worthwhile. The 0.8-mile rt trail is moderately challenging, and takes about 30min to complete. Easier going down and coming up is work. Doggos are welcome, but they must be on a leash.

This is a great place to pull over and stretch your legs while driving on Hwy 1. Not as beautiful as some other stops, but still pretty.
