Hidden secluded place east of The Sierras

A small heart shaped arch naturally formed in the bounders at The Alabama Hills, at the foothills of the Sierras.

The Alabama Hills are formation of rounded rocks near the eastern Slope of the Sierra Nevada in the Owens Valley. It is a popular filming location for movie and television show productions. The best time to visit to get the most beautiful view of the mountains are during sunset and sunrise. If you're going in winter make sure to dress in layers as it can get quite cold at nights.

The closest town is Lone Pine, California. The route to The Movie Road is 2.7 miles east on Whitney Portal Road in Lone Pine, CA. Take a right at the "Alabama Hills" sign to enter a dirt road, which is famously called as The Movie Road, keep driving until you reach a parking lot.

The Heart Arch is the easiest to find and can be literally seen from the Mobius Arch parking lot, but to get a closer view you can walk the Arch Loop Trail and can also see the most pictured Mobius Arch.
