This hike offers a unique, but reasonably easy to access view point of Canmore, which makes this a must do! Enjoy the beautiful views down of the Bow Valley as the sun rises.
Start at the Goat Creek parking lot and cross the road towards Ha Ling. There is an access road with a gate on the other side. Walk up the road and across the bridge. From there the trail is obvious and will lead you to the summit. Overall it's a fairly easy hike with switchbacks
Once above tree line the trail changes to scree and there are a few options to get the rest of the way up. While not overly steep, good route finding skills will make this safer and easier.
There are a few rock walls built that will keep you out of the wind and enjoying the view, but consider bringing some hot chocolate or tea to stay warm!

My first summit in the Canadian Rockies back in 2013 and one of my favorite hikes. Quick but starts very steep. Short easy scramble area. Amazing view of the town of Canmore at the top! I Recommend this hike for everyone who wants a quick and challenging hike. It's a good trail to practice for scramble.

The hike up is steep but overall distance isn’t long. For how quickly this can be done the view at the top is worth it. If you take breaks and stop for the scenic views plan for several hours, but if you’re going to march straight up it should be quick and only a couple hours. One I will do again as I know it is simple and quick, but great workout if you push yourself.

Best hike done late spring early fall to avoid the crowds. You won't regret it!

It's up hill the whole way and does get your heavy breathing out. A stunning view but hard on your knees on the way down.

Definitely arrive early to avoid the crowds, other than that this hike is great and pretty straight-forward! It's well worth your time and the climb.
