Belding Wildlife Management Area Loop is a 2.6 mile loop hike that takes you by a waterfall located near Vernon, Connecticut.
This easy to moderate rated trail is popular for both hiking and walking. It’s a great place if you’re craving some peaceful time in nature. In addition to a waterfall, this trail features creeks, bridges, a river, tall grasses, and forest. Watch for fallen trees along the path. As a bonus, there are multiple informational signs along the way if you want to stop and learn a few new facts!
Visit on a weekday to avoid weekend crowds. If you go in the warmer months bring bug spray and check yourself for ticks after. This trail is accessible year round and is both family and dog friendly as long as dogs are kept leashed.
