Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Garden is a loop trail that is approximately 1-mile located near Fort Davis, TX. This is a family-friendly hike with very minimal elevation gain that can be done in about 20 mins. This trail is dog friendly on-leash. The trail has some rocks and unevenness, so close-toed shoes are recommended.

Interpretive guide books are sold at the Powell Visitor Center.

Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Garden

The botanical gardens and cactus museum are a beautiful showcase of the plants of the Chihuahuan Desert. Easy enough trail for the whole family. Make sure to visit the bird blind on the outside of the fence as well. The volunteers in the Powell Visitor Center are very helpful and will answer any questions you have.
