This moderately hilly boardwalk hike takes you to scenic viewpoints above Lake Michigan. The Sleeping Bear Dunes do not fail to impress, particularly at sunset.

Hike Empire Bluff Trail

This bluff is pretty incredible. Sweeping views of the aqua-blue Lake Michigan during the summer months make this an absolute hit in my book. Nearby are the Sleeping Bear dunes, as well, so don't forget to check those out (but start early cause the sand gets hot!)

I loved this short but rewarding hike! The view towards the dunes is breathtaking and the sandy terrain is an added fun bonus! Bring the sunscreen and a camera!

The best part of this trail is the connection to the Treat Farm Trail. While I prefer to start at Treat Farm, you can continue south from the Empire Bluff along the ridge trail for more than a mile. A must do!

Hike to Big Glen Lookout

Start at the Alligator Hill trail head and make your way up the hill for roughly .1 of a mile until you hit a marker. Turn left at the sign and keep on the trail for another 1.3 miles.
