Beautiful hike that takes you through the forest and up into some of Mount Rainer's alpine meadows. There's also a ranger station at the top along with many views of Mount Rainer especially on a clear day.
Named after the Native American who lived here prior to Mt. Rainier becoming a national park, So-To-Lick's was dubbed "Indian Henry" by the postman who unfortunately did not learn his name.
When heading out on this hike, keep an eye on the weather in Mt. Rainier National Park. If hiking this trail in the fall, it can be chilly out and you'll need to bring some layers.
Along the hike, you'll get peeks of the mountain, which will look gorgeous out. If you head out on the trail in the summer, conditions and visibility should make this longer hike a bit easier.
This is not an easy hike but definitely worth the work once you get up to the top!
