Description

Added by Brian Heifferon

King Mountain Loop Trail is 3.3-mile gem of a trail located near Larkspur, California. It provides scenic views and the loop itself is mostly set within a lush little forest.

This beautiful hike takes you around King Mountain and through the King Mountain Open Space Preserve. The first .5 miles is on an exposed gravel fire road that is fairly steep, but the loop itself slopes gently around the mountain and through the forest, providing lots of shade.

This is a an easy-moderate hike that is dog and family friendly. Parking can be challenging at busier times and please be respectful of the neighbors near the trailhead.
