A beautiful, nature-filled hiking trail in San Marcos, Texas.
The Limbo, Dante, Old West, Beatrice, and Ovid East Loop is a 2.98 mile loop trail that begins in Prospect Park and makes a loop around through the Purgatory Greenspace in San Marcos, Texas. The trail is mostly shaded and a little rocky at certain sections. However, this is a great hiking trail for nature observing and wildflower watching.
Parking is easily accessible and found right at the trailhead. Due to the nature of the trail, it is not great for those with limited mobility. The trail is family- and dog-friendly, just be sure to pick up after your pup and keep them leashed!

Reviews
Great hike for beginners. Lots of wildlife and flowers. Pretty cool features hidden throughout the trails. My favorite was a sink hole on Virgil’s Trail.
