Description

A peaceful nature hike found within the city with wildlife watching opportunities.

The Main Trail to Meadow Loop to Taylor Creek Loop is a 0.6 loop hike found within Mayfield Park just west of downtown Austin. The trail is completely shaded and is a relatively easy hike. The trail does descend down stairs in some spots, but nothing too significant. This is a great family trail and features lots of nature, wildlife, greenery, and even a flowing creek.

Please be advised that the trail is located inMayfield Park which is home to many free-roaming peacocks, therefore dogs/pets beside service animals are strictly prohibited.

Parking can be found at the trailhead inside of Mayfield Park. Keep in mind that weekends/holidays are often busy and overflow parking can be found on the street right outside the gates of the park.
