An easy 2 mile hike through the canyon narrows for the entire family.
Mosaic Canyon is located a quarter mile west of Stovepipe Wells Village. From the 190 Highway, take the 2 mile gravel road to the canyon parking lot. The road is very rough and bumpy, but a regular passenger car will be able to make the drive. A high clearance 4x4 vehicle will not have any problems.
From the parking lot, it's a 1/4 mile walk to the beginning of the canyon narrows. Some sections of the canyon require some easy scrambling. But be very careful with your footing because of the smooth marble rocks can be slippery. You can continue hiking for 2 miles and explore the canyon, where it ends at a dry waterfall. Just turn around and head back to the parking lot.

Reviews
This hike is easy and fun, and so long as the sun isn't too high in the sky, there's some nice shade protect from the Death Valley sun!

This was a really beautiful hike and pretty easy to do. It was neat to see all the different types of rock formations in this canyon.
