Piegan Pass is one of the most iconic hikes in Glacier National Park. It offers incredible satisfaction and is worth every ounce of your sweat.
Beginning the hike from the Siyeh Bend Trail, off of the Going-to-the-Sun Road, follow the signage through a few forks in the trail toward Piegan Pass. Climb steadily through huckleberries and wildflowers (in season) and keep an eye out for wildlife. The surrounding peaks draw your attention away from your footing, and your heart rate lets you know that you are climbing still. After about 4.5 miles, you reach Piegan Pass. From the pass, you can easily climb Cataract Peak (due East), come back the way you came, or continue on the trail all the way down to Many Glacier. You can catch shuttles in Many Glacier back to your car during summer months. This stunning thru-hike or trail run is well worth the sweat.

Reviews
We literally ran down the loose shale from the top of Cataract Peak. Each step we would slide a couple of feet. Amazing experience of a lifetime!
