Porcupine Ridge is another prime ridge walk in Kananaskis perfect for shoulder season or for a leisurely summer hike.
This trail was really easy to find and follow, unfortunately that means the description will be short.
Park your car at Porcupine Creek on Highway 40 and take off to the southeast! The path follows the creek and requires a couple of creek crossings on makeshift bridges, but once the creek forks you start heading up the ridge.
The trail is pretty straightforward even though it meanders through the trees, but worst case scenario just keep on top of the ridge and you'll be fine! There are couple of slabby bits, but nothing to extreme.
The ridge "peaks" at a couple of pinnacles - large rock formations that you won't be able to miss. They offer some great protection from wind and any weather you might come across.
The way out is the same as the way in! Enjoy the hike down and immerse yourself in views of Mount Lorette the entire way down.
