Terra Linda Sleepy Hollow Ridge Trail is a popular, scenic 6-mile out and back trail located near San Rafael, California. The trail features great views, wildflowers, and good bird watching opportunities. It is appropriate for all skill levels.
This San Rafael neighborhood trail is quite popular, but there is plenty of room for everyone and the parking is easy. After you park at the trailhead, you walk (or bike) up a relatively short and steep path that takes you to the beginning of the trail.
This hike takes you along a scenic ridge through the Terra Linda Open Space Preserve and provides a number of different offshoots and spur trails to explore.
This is a great spot for a quick hike, trail run, or ride. This trail is also dog friendly. There is not a lot of shade, so during hotter months it's advised to bring a hat and some water.

Reviews
This is a great ridge top hike that provides nice views of both the Terra Linda and Sleepy Hollow neighborhoods. Easy parking. Almost no shade on sunny days, so plan accordingly.
