Description
Added by Gustavo Quiros
Short and sweet hike on the Massachusetts / Rhode Island border that takes you out of the city and into the trees and winding paths along the Blackstone River Gorge.
Park at the lot at the corner of Staples Lane and County Street. From here you can access the Blackstone Gorge Trail. Dogs are allowed on leash, and you can enjoy various paths along the river or through the forest. At multiple points you can find yourself looking down at the Blackstone River from up to 70-foot tall cliffs.
Parts of the trail can become muddy and slippery and various side trails have been created that lead to the same destination. There are many little paths and you will likely take a different trail back making it more of a loop even though there is always the option of hiking out and back.

Reviews
It’s very rocky so be careful. But the river is flowing all along the trail and it’s lovely. Plenty of places to take pictures.
