Are you looking for a casual stroll in the woods? Want relax by the water with a beer in your hands? Or looking to do some SUP or kayaking? This Coastal Reserve and state park in Groton, Connecticut is worth the visit!
A popular destination for the locals, families, and travelers. The trails are well maintained (and wide!) Dog lovers will jump in joy. And athletes will love the easy, but fun trails and open water.
There are many things you could do and different routes you can take. From the parking lot, take a coastal stroll to the bluff (about a mile and half.) Bring your bike on the loop and and enjoy and easy ride. And be prepared for sweet views with tons of rocks to climb on the water. You'll earn the bluff!
Saltwater fishing is also allowed! But a permit will be needed for shell fishing. Take it easy and enjoy your time there. It's amazing to visit during all seasons :)
Parking is FREE and the park closes at sundown.

Took my dog here, the 3.5 mile loop was just the right distance, a few inclines and declines made for a more intriguing trail run, not to mention shore access for my dog. There were even people riding bikes and horses on the trails, great overall place, nice views on the coastline and bluffs.
