The Falls of Hills Creek are a set of three scenic waterfalls (20 feet, 45 feet, and 63 feet) that tumble down a steep gorge within the Monongahela National Forest. The lower falls is the second tallest in West Virginia.
From the parking lot, the paved handicap-accessible trail switchbacks to a view of the upper falls (20'). The falls are a bit hard to see from the viewpoint, so it's best to continue down the trail.
At the upper falls the trail changes to wooden stairs that descend gradually down. You will cross a wooden bridge over the stream, then there will be a viewing platform for the middle falls off to the right.
Descending further downstream are a set of 3-4 story tall steel stairs. At the bottom turn to the right for another viewing platform of the middle falls (45' tall).
Turning left at the bottom of the steel staircase will lead to another set of stairs down to a viewing platform of the lower falls, which is the second tallest waterfall in West Virginia (63').
Once finished viewing the falls, climb the 382 stairs back to your car, and try exploring Cranberry Glades Botanical Area for another short walk.

Absolutely beautiful, so many places to visit in the area

What a beautiful place and very secluded. Be prepared to climb some steps. The falls are breathtaking and worth the walk to the lower falls. I’ve been here several times and is best in the fall when the leaves have changed.
