Hike the Falls of Hills Creek, Monongahela NF

From the parking lot, the paved handicap-accessible trail switchbacks to a view of the upper falls (20'). The falls are a bit hard to see from the viewpoint, so it's best to continue down the trail. 

At the upper falls the trail changes to wooden stairs that descend gradually down. You will cross a wooden bridge over the stream, then there will be a viewing platform for the middle falls off to the right. 

Descending further downstream are a set of 3-4 story tall steel stairs.  At the bottom turn to the right for another viewing platform of the middle falls (45' tall). 

Turning left at the bottom of the steel staircase will lead to another set of stairs down to a viewing platform of the lower falls, which is the second tallest waterfall in West Virginia (63'). 

Once finished viewing the falls, climb the 382 stairs back to your car, and try exploring Cranberry Glades Botanical Area for another short walk.
