Discover this lovely wooded trail following the powerful Brandywine Creek
Brandywine Creek State Park, a 933-acre park located in Northern Delaware, offers 14 miles of hiking trails, expanses of open fields, and the beautiful Brandywine Creek. The Hidden Pond trail is an excellent hike through the hardwood forests and down to the banks of the creek.
The trail begins by the nature center. Park in the large lot in front of the building, and follow the signs to the trails.
Hike beside grey stone walls built of local stone in the late 1800's as you make your way through the trees. Watch the powerful Brandywine Creek pass through the forest.
Follow the signs back to the nature center.
Enjoy!

Reviews
I took my 2 dogs to the trail and it was about a 2 mile loop. You have to keep dogs on a leash here. There are multiple other loops you can pick from but this one wasn’t bad. I went on day that snow had just melted so the trail was super muddy, so this is why I gave it a 4 Star. Make sure you pick a dry day. There is one stretch of the trail that you walk by a river but the rest is just through the woods. There is also large stone walls that are neat to see here. Not a lot of hills or elevation on this trail.
