Stroll along a boardwalk through a beautiful White Birch forest!
This easy hike starts over a wooden foot bridge to the left of the Wild Gardens Of Acadia. Here you will take a right on the Jesup Path paralleling the gardens. You will soon cross the Hemlock Road which will be where you return. The path now becomes a boardwalk taking you along a boggy area of white birch. The boardwalk will end as the trail passes the Hemlock Road again. Here you will take a left and walk along a pedestrian only road through a forest of large hemlocks. This section is only 0.3 miles and you will soon return to the Jesup Path where you will take a right and return.
While in the area walk through the Gardens of Acadia and visit the Nature Center and Abbe Museum. These are all located in the same area.
Definitely a must do on your Acadia National Park trip.
