Mine Island brings spectacular exploration, don't forget to share your treasure!
Start from the Castle Craig road entrance. Walk until you're greeted by a beautiful reservoir. You'll notice the strange but beautiful Mine Island in the middle of all this. You'll also notice markers for White Trails and Yellow Trails. The White Trail is an easier/wider trail. The Yellow Trail Cuts through the White Trail which cuts the hike down a little length. You will follow the White/Yellow Trail for1 1/2 miles, gaining about 976 feet throughout. You will have the option to take a left to continue up to Castle Craig or you may take a Right and venture on the Blue Trail. The Blue Trail is a fun ridge trail with panoramic views of Mine Island and the Hanging Hills.
Hubbard Park is seasonal you may only drive up to Castle Craig between April-October.
