Description

Added by Nicky Howard

This hike leads to miles of unhindered views in every direction, with multiple spots like the East Pinnacle, West Pinnacle, Buzzards Roost and Eagles Nest to see different views of Kentucky.

This is a trip with multiple sites to visit over the course of a day. Visiting all five would equal around 5 miles, or you can choose to only go to one, as there are some slightly strenuous hills.

The most visited is the Main Lookout, and the West Pinnacle offers a little rock climbing. Between each lookout is around a mile, some shorter, some longer. Dogs are allowed but camping is not. There is also geocaching offered around these points, and another off point called Devils Kitchen you can visit.

Energetic Hike going mostly Up. Well worth it...

When I went to Eastern Kentucky Univ. we used to go here and play "hunt". A couple of guys would take off and the rest of us try to track them. No one was around for miles. Found hidden caves and all sorts of holes to hide in.

Drove all the way from Cincy for this one. Fell in love multiple times on this trail. There are enormous outcroppings to rest on, eat a granola bar, and wonder how Kentucky can be this beautiful.

Hiking to the Pinnacles at first just seems like a nice walk through a beautiful forest. However, as you make your way around the loops you are led to amazing vistas that overlook Berea. Breathtaking views of this beautiful area Of Kentucky. The hiking is pretty mild and the trails aren't too long. It's great for all ages. You also get to go through the sweet little town of Berea to get here. Stop by Boone Tavern restaurant for some famous local spoon bread while you are in the area!

Great views, moderate hike.

Not the prettiest trails around, but by far the best views you can find. On a clear day on the west pinnacle you can see buildings in downtown Lexington which is 40+ miles away. The east pinnacle has even better views than the west.

I love this place! Been coming here every few months since I started at EKU and this last Saturday I proposed to my girlfriend at the top and she said yes! Stunning views and lots of natural beauty. The only downside is the trails are always muddy as f***
